The Women Inspiration Development Center (WIDC) is an initiative designed to create a safe place for Nigerian women and girls in challenging life circumstances to envision and create new possibilities for their lives, families and communities
WIDC is committed to advancing women’s right and creating a refuge for victims of gender based violence and disenfranchised women and girls.
Through agency-based empowerment, WIDC supports women and girls as they improve their health, economic well-being and social status, leading to fulfilling lives free of violence. We believe in the inherent potential and ability of every woman to overcome obstacles, take control of her life, emerge confident and strong, and make meaningful contributions to her society.
