We worked with 450 village women in 10 villages with
zero source of income and victims of wife battering.
A year after the empowerment workshop
- 87% (391) were free from battering and they were having solid source of income ranging from cash crop farms, food crop farms and vocations like photography, tailoring and beadmaking.
- 10% (45) were on the way to perfect their business and violence they are facing in their homes.
- 3% (14) were still struggling to find their feet because they abandoned the support group after the empowerment workshop.
- 5 of the women became part of the village council
